Over a 16 year period, the Company has funded basic science research with world leading organic photovoltaic researchers at Princeton University, Stanford University, the University of Southern California and the University of Michigan, securing the exclusive world-wide commercial rights to a broad and foundational patent portfolio. In its intellectual property, GPEC has a created a valuable asset comprising over 425 patents issued/pending globally.

GPEC believes that a number of the Company's patents will be required by any company seeking to develop and commercialize an organic photovoltaic technology.

GPEC's licensing approach allows the Company to focus on basic science innovation and expanding and strengthening our intellectual property portfolio while allowing Partner companies to focus on the manufacture and distribution of products containing the Company's SM-OPV™ technologies. For access to the Company's technologies and know-how, Partner companies will pay GPEC up-front licensee fees and/or per-unit royalties.

As the Company grows, GPEC's licensing approach will allow investors to enjoy significant operational leverage with over 90% of revenue dropping to the bottom line once sustaining operational expenses are covered.
