Research

GPEC sponsors University research teams conducting basic-science research in organic photovoltaics and related fabrication techniques.  GPEC has or is sponsoring university research efforts at Princeton University (Princeton), the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of Michigan (Michigan) under the guidance of Dr. Mark E. Thompson (USC), Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at USC and Dr. Stephen R. Forrest, Vice President for Research at Michigan and the William Gould Dow Collegiate Professor in Electrical Engineering Professor, Physics and Professor, Materials Science & Engineering.

In addition to the Company's research programs at Princeton, USC and Michigan, our University research efforts are or have been supported by grants from the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL), the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Government of South Korea and Dankook University, and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Center for Advanced Molecular Photovoltaics (KAUST/CAMP) at Stanford University (Stanford).
