Through strategic research partnerships with Princeton University, the University of Southern California, and the University of Michgan, GPEC is a model of commercial-academic collaboration. Initiated in 1994, GPEC's partnership with these preeminent academic and research institutions was expanded in 1998 with the Princeton and USC becoming shareholders in the Company.

GPEC has the exclusive worldwide license to technology developed under its research programs with Princeton University, the University of Southern California and the University of Michigan.
